Headshots are your first impression
So why should they be so serious?
I'm so serious about this! Why do most headshots not only look like you're trying to hold a fart in, but they're also uncomfortable for 95% of the population when they're executed? It doesn't need to be this way.
Now before you get on me about how "well I need to look professional for xyz..." I know. I get it. However, so many photographers give the same cookie cutter experience for professional headshots of having 5 poses they never change, they only offer 1 background and then a green screen option, one outfit and then they snap a few photos of you looking like you need to run to the bathroom. That is not the experience you'll have when you book your session with me at Crescent Studios.
I take your self image very seriously when it comes to having headshots done for either a resume, job offer, business website, etc. You're not going to come into this blind. We'll talk before your session on clothing ideas on what you should wear and what to expect for the full process. These are not meant to make you look bad like most people think is going to happen. I certainly don't expect you to come in knowing exactly what to do with yourself for professional photos. Part of my process is coaching you on how to pose, where to put your hands, how to smile more naturally, etc.
My take on any branding and professional headshots is that these should be fun, relaxed, and authentic. I make every session fun with my dad jokes, movie references or anything I notice that makes you feel more you during a session. There won't be a moment that you'll feel awkward because I'm the queen of weird and if I can give that authenticity, so can you.
